Success Stories from Everyday Athletes

“I can’t recommend Conquer Movement enough! After spending year after year in traditional physical therapy since 2018 I felt like my movement and pain issues just couldn’t be resolved. Dr. Eliza made it possible for me to get better and thrive again when it comes to being more active! Thank you!”
Sydney Groenendaal
"I can't recommend Dr. Evan at Conquer Movement enough. He took the time to train me on proper lifting techniques, which has made a big difference in my performance and confidence. Whether you're trying to get better at your sport, hobby, or just want to move and feel better, Dr. Evan is the person to see.”
Matthew Hale
"The best physical therapy practice I've been to. They offer therapy 1 on 1. They are not giving therapy to multiple patients at once. It's probably the cleanest office I've visited. Steve was my therapist. I got dry needling on my facial muscles. He was very skilled, professional, and easy to talk to and made sure I understood what he was going to address by explaining and showing me pictures. Really appreciate his expertise."
"Conquer Movement has exceeded my expectations as usual, as head coach of the highest level of gymnastics offered here in Wilmington, I have spent years looking for a place that would treat the girls as athletes. I have been working closely with Conquer Movement for the last 18 months and 5 of my high-level athletes just finished a 12-week strength training class with them. Not only did they learn a lot about proper technique and form but they were challenged to try new things and push themselves, while simultaneously being constantly encouraged and supported throughout the workouts."

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes your approach different for barbell athletes?

We started as barbell athlete rehab specialists. Our therapists understand the unique demands of Olympic lifting, powerlifting, and CrossFit. We know what it takes to return to heavy lifting safely and help you become more resilient under load.

Do I have to stop lifting during treatment?

Not at all! We believe in keeping you under the barbell throughout your recovery.
We'll modify loads and movements as needed, providing guidance on what's
safe and beneficial during your treatment.

What lifting-related injuries do you treat most often?

We commonly treat back pain from deadlifts and squats, shoulder impingement from overhead work, knee pain from squatting, and wrist/elbow issues from high-volume training. We also help with movement dysfunctions that limit performance.

Can you help me get back to competition lifting?

Absolutely. We've helped competitive Olympic weightlifters, powerlifters, and CrossFit athletes return to competition stronger than before. We understand the demands of meet prep and competition schedules.

How do you work around my training schedule?

We design treatment plans that complement your lifting schedule, not compete with it. We provide specific guidance on what to modify, when to back off, and how to progress back to
full intensity safely.
